Kinesiophobia, her predictors and consequences in selected chronic diseases - theoretical review
Schwarzová, Kristýna ; Mahrová, Andrea (advisor) ; Plevková, Lucia (referee)
Title: Kinesiophobia, her predictors and consequences in selected chronic diseases - theoretical review Objectives: To review the issue of the occurrence of kinesophobia in various chronic diseases and to identify its predictors. Methods: The diploma thesis was prepared in the form of a literature search using electronic resources of the National Medical Library, the Central Physical Education Library and professional databases Pubmed, EBSCO, SCORPUS, Medline, Web of Science. The first half of the work summarized all the theoretical background and knowledge of kinesophobia and selected chronic diseases. The second half was focused on the processing of the issue of kinesophobia in selected chronic diseases and on the mapping of their predictors. Results: Based on the processing of available resources dealing with the issue of kinesophobia in selected chronic diseases, a comprehensive overview was created. In patients with chronic low back pain, high levels of kinesophobia were most often associated with chronic pain, functional impairment associated with the disease, obesity, low levels of education, and emotional states (anxiety, depression). In coronary heart disease, high levels of kinesophobia were associated with a lack of understanding of the need for physical activity, social support,...

Effect of weight reduction on blood lipids and some other risk factors of ischemic heart disease
Zdeňková Kroužková, Pavlína ; Zlatohlávek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Altschmiedová, Tereza (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the effect of weight reduction on the level of total cholesterol, triglycerides, waist circumference and blood pressure. The effect of education, or changes in dietary and regime habits on weight, blood lipid levels (total cholesterol and triglycerides), waist circumference and blood pressure were monitored in a group of educated persons. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part contains information about obesity, ischemic heart disease, risk factors for these diseases, their prevention and therapy. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis is devoted to monitoring dedicated a group of patients who decided to lose weight by changing dietary and dietary habits. At baseline, patients were measured on by the Accutrend for total cholesterol, triglycerides, waist circumference, and blood pressure. The subjects were educated about the dietary regime and subsequently followed the recommended measures. Repeated measurements of all monitored indicators were performed after three months, when the effect of weight reduction on the monitored parameters was evaluated. After three months, all subjects demonstrated on average weight loss of 11.9 kg, BMI lowered by 3.94 kg / m2, and waist circumference parameters reduced on 8.9 cm. Systolic pressure decreased by...
Nursing Care of the Patient with Ischemic Heart Disease After Combined Cardiac Surgical Procedure with Following Complications
Kováčová, Anna ; Sentivanová, Lenka (advisor) ; Pražáková, Zuzana (referee)
Bachelor thesis on topic Nursing care of a patient with ischemic heart disease after combined cardiac surgical operation with following complications, dealt with the specificity of nursing care of the patient, firstly after combined cardiac surgical operation and subsequently also after rehospitalisation for mediastinitis and infectious endocarditis on the heart valves. In theoretical part I analyze drawn knowledge, related to mentioned issue. Used information were obtained from professional literature, Czech and foreign articles according to recommended practices of the European Cardiology Society. The main objective of the thesis is summary and elaboration of patient's data in longer period of time into two case studies. In Case study I., I focus mainly on detailed description of nursing care after the cardiac surgical operation during three days, when the patient was transfered to intensive care unit. In Case study II., I include collected information of the same patient after rehospitalisation with infectious complications, which I evaluate in detail during the three days hospitalization on intensive care unit. My other objectives include finding out, if there are any differences in provided nursing care between two mentioned Case studies. At the end, I would like to point out the highly...

Univerzita Karlova 1. lékařská fakulta Studijní program: Doktorské studium biomedicíny 1. LF UK Studijní obor: Oborová rada Fyziologie a patofyziologie člověka MUDr. Gabriela Dostálová Disertační práce Vybrané aspekty akutního infarktu myokardu u mladých nemocných Specifics of Acute Myocardial Infarction in Young Adults Školitelé: prof. MUDr. A. Linhart, DrSc., doc. MUDr. D. Karetová, CSc. Praha 2017 Abstract Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in adults in the western world. Myocardial infarction can represent the lethal manifestation of coronary heart disease leading to sudden cardiac death. Although myocardial infarction mainly occurs in patients older than 45 years, the young population can be affected as well. Despite the relatively low incidence of myocardial infarction in the young population, the mortality rates and long-term disability make acute myocardial infarction in young patients an important clinical issue. Consequences of myocardial infraction usually have great impact on the young patient's psychology, ability to work and the overall quality of life. The management of young myocardial infarction patients should differ at least slightly from the older ones. Young patients usually have a different risk factor profile, clinical presentation, and prognosis in comparison with...
Regional variability of mortality level on death causes suggestible by health care
Procházka, Martin ; Dzúrová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Šídlo, Luděk (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to map regional variability in the intensity of mortality using methods avoidable mortality and a few selected characteristics of health care. The thesis describes the development of the concept of avoidable mortality, which is then used for the Czech Republic for the period 2006-2010 and to individual districts for the period 2006-2010. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on the relationship between expenditures of General Health Insurance Company and the level of mortality in the regions. For showing regional differences depending on the health care intensity of mortality from ischemic heart disease (both acute and chronic forms) was also selected, depending on the distance of specialized medical care. The last chapter focuses on National screening programs and cancer mortality, which are integrated in a comparison of the percentage of people examine in this program for districts. The relationship between spending per insured and intensity of mortality and outcomes related to the intensity of mortality, depending on the availability of specialized health care has been confirmed by statistical methods - correlation (Pearson correlation coefficient). Relationship between the intensity of mortality in cancer within screening programs and the percentage of people who passed...
